Passing of Cllr Graham Burnett

Monday, 3 July, 2017

Commenting on the sad passing of Cllr Graham Burnett, Amanda Milling MP summed up all our members feelings with the below statement, Amanda said -

"I am shocked and very upset by the sad news of Cllr Graham Burnett’s passing. I have known Graham for several years and I was so proud to call him a friend.

Graham had a skill of making you laugh and feel at ease in his presence, and he always had a great story to tell about his frequent adventures.

He was part of so many of the community projects taking place in Hednesford and across Cannock Chase that were making the area a better place.

I cannot thank Graham enough for the help and support he has given me over the years, especially in the latest General Election. Supported by his wife Deborah, he pounded the streets day in and day out delivering leaflets, knocking on doors and putting up posters for me and his colleagues every election.

Graham will leave not only a huge hole in the community, but a hole in our hearts that will never be filled.
Cannock Chase has lost one of its best and is a worse place for his passing.

We will all miss you, Graham. You were a true gentleman and a great friend."
